Fizzy Rose Drink

Here is one of my all-time favorite refresher drinks! Try it out sometime, I promise you'll love it!
A little sprite or 7up, a single drop of rose water, and viola- A slice of heaven that can't be adequetly described with words. I am so not kidding.

As you can see, it was quickly gulped, and hard to not just breathe right up.

The Simple Things

Sometimes, the simple things are what stand out.

Like the sunlight, or a smile
It's the small things that snatch our attention.
The way someone hugs you
or the way that they laughed
or maybe it was even the beauty in their tears
Look out for the simple things. They're usually things you remember most.
They are the things that you hold nearest to your heart.

Summertime Snacks: Wontons

Lately I've been craving lots of food, so I've decided to make some of my favorite summertime snacks into blog posts and share them with you!
To start off:
There a multiple ways to eat these, and in this post I'm just using sharp cheddar cheese. You can also make them more dessert-y and put nutella or biscoff spread in them.

1. Place a wonton wrapper on a pan
2. Put a small amount of desired filling onto your wonton (If you put too much it will spill out)
3. Using your fingers, rub water onto the outer edges and seal the edges of the wontons
4. Cook them at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, and voila!

Bon Appetit!

Here is a look at me and Cate's (Creating a Lovley Life) trip to World Market!
Hope you enjoy it! Check out her blog sometime! You won't regret it!

As you can see, my blog has gotten a facelift! A pretty fabulous one if I must say so myself! But I shouldn't have to- Tell me what you think! I'd love to hear your feedback!

Sprinkles with Cate!

Me and Cate from Creating a Lovely Life took a weekend trip to Dallas to kick off the summer, so I'll be breaking it up into a couple fun posts.

Our first stop : Sprinkles Cupcakes of course!

At first I was overwhelmed with choices, but I eventually chose my favorite: Red Velvet

How cute! Except I don't have a dog...

"You deserve cupcakes"
And yes, after that five hour drive, I did.

Don't be scared to dream

Lately, I've come to the conclusion that there has to be more to life. More than waking up in the morning, getting dressed, going to school, coming home and then going to bed. That's all that's ever done. Okay, yeah, sure there is the occasional invitation to a friends house or weekend vacation, but honestly, none of that is enough to satisfy my hunger for life. I want to be happy, to laugh, to run, to explore, to dance! I want to have an adventure, I want to fall in love. I want to change some one's life through a song, a letter, or even just through a smile. I want to write music that means something to me. I want to draw and paint beautiful things. I want to write a book to be read and loved by thousands. Some may say I'm dreaming too big. Honestly, I think people just use that phrase as an excuse not to live! Is it so bad to try to do the things my heart longs for?

I recently asked myself this question:
If you were to die today, would you be happy with the life you've lived?
My answer? No.

There are too many words left unsaid, too many things left undone. So, I'm challenging myself.

I'm saving money for a guitar so I can learn how to play and eventually write music. No, I definitely don't want to be some huge star, I just want to write music that means something to me, and if God opens the door for me to be an artist, then I'll play and sing my heart out for Him.

I've started writing down ideas for books, and gaining inspiration from other authors. I'd love for copies of my books to have coffee-stained pages, dog-eared bookmarks, binds falling apart from being read so much. If God wants me to write, then I will be more than happy to write meaningful, powerful words and create a story for Him.

I have a sketchbook. Whenever inspiration comes (which, sadly, isn't often) I sketch the picture in my head until it's perfect. Every drawing tells a different story, each story tells of bits and pieces of my life. If God tells me to paint and draw for the world, then I will paint it a beautiful picture for every eye to see.

It's hard to confess these things because the natural response is that I'll grow out of these needs with age. That I'm young and that it 'comes with the territory' to dream big.

1 Timothy 4:12-
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."

So dream big. Follow your dreams, chase them, catch them.
And one more thing, ask yourself this question:
If you were to die today, would you be happy with the live you've lived?

Friendship Bracelets

So, a couple months ago I thought it would be cool to learn how to make friendship bracelets since I'd been seeing them everywhere. I took a trip to hobby lobby, got some strings, found a how-to website, and voila! Many celebs have been spotted supporting these chic bracelets-
Here are some of my own that I've made.

The first one I made was absolutely horrid. It went in all different directions and had a wacko pattern to go along. With every bracelet I've made, it's become much easier. Many requests for them are being made at school- I just can't keep up!
Hope you liked them( :
